Meet Erika
Erika has a warm and gentle approach, holding space for you to bring your whole self into the session. Erika is empathetic without judgment, and wants you to feel validated and seen. Erika also believes that therapy works best when there’s a strong therapeutic alliance and active collaboration between therapist and client, and invites feedback during each stage. Erika has training in various evidence based practices, but knows that each person needs their own individualized approach. During sessions, Erika will happily look at photos of your pets/kids or latest creative project, but Erika will also redirect and refocus you on therapeutic topics that will bring you closer to your goals.
Whether you are seeking deeper self-awareness, need someone to sit with you and your emotions, or are wanting to figure out what new skills might be helpful, Erika will be with you on the journey.
Erika recognizes that at times, mental and chemical health issues can stem from our experiences living within broken systems, and wants to help you recognize your own strengths, learn how to navigate life’s challenges, and for you to feel empowered to become your own advocate.
When not working, Erika is likely hanging out with their spouse and pets (two cats and one dog), spending time outside, or tending to their ever-growing number of houseplants. Erika also enjoys listening to podcasts or watching niche documentaries, while working on various crochet or embroidery projects.
