Outpatient Mental Health Therapist (Part-Time) Job Summary
We are seeking a Mental Health Therapist who can help our patients manage their mental health conditions. In this position, you will meet with each patient, assess their current mental state, identify areas of concern, and develop a course of therapeutic treatment that can help them overcome or manage their issues. Mental Health Therapist Duties and Responsibilities
Meet with and assess your patients.
Develop a therapy strategy.
Meet with your patients regularly to continue treatment.
Adjust the strategy based on their progress.
Keep a detailed record of their progress.
As part of a small private practice, therapist will be responsible for some of your own marketing, networking and finding referral sources.
Administrative duties such as managing your calendar, responding to incoming calls and emails and setting up client appointments in a professional and timely matter.
Part time, 10 clients per week minimum after a ramping up period with the possibility of increasing hours if desired.
Therapy will be provided remotely through a secure telehealth platform.
Mental Health Therapist Requirements and Qualifications
Master’s degree in counseling or psychology
MN State license as a counselor (preferred)
Clinical experience
Excellent listening, communication, and critical thinking skills
Strong sense of empathy
Relational/ Contextual Therapy Perspective preferred
Practice specialty areas preferred: ADHD, Couples Therapy, Trauma-Informed, Group Therapy
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly Rate dependent on income generated/session rates (approx. $40-$65/hour)
Therapist has the ability to set their own schedule

Option to provide therapy 100% remotely.

Insurance companies vary in the amount of time it takes practitioners to be included in contracts and some do not allow therapists without independent licensure to accept their insurance. Start date is dependent on these factors.
